5 out of 5 stars These books are great!   November 30, 2009

I love the quirkiness of these books, they are so fun and my little man loves getting these read to him and they never get old with me either since i'm wondering every time i read them where in the heck did this lady come up with this stuff!

1 out of 5 stars Too judgmental   October 26, 2009

I borrowed this book from the library because my daughter loves Sandra Boynton's books. However, this book makes judgments on what is good (painting neatly) and bad (painting messily), and who is cute and who is not cute. I don't think such labels are appropriate to teach to young children. Being messy is not always bad. It can be a valuable learning experience. And you certainly don't need to teach children to judge people (or dinosaurs) by their looks.

5 out of 5 stars A great read for fluency   August 20, 2009

We read this book almost every day and my 2 year old daughter can now "read" it with me. It is a great tool for teaching her about opposites too.

5 out of 5 stars Learn your opposites with the Boynton dinos!   August 13, 2009

This funny little board book will help you introduce your child to opposites with catchy rhymes and hilarious illustrations. My kids both loved learning their opposites in a fun and slightly off-beat with with this lovely Boynton board book. As is typical of Boynton books, the dinosaurs have funny little expressions that will make your little ones laugh. This book has been a household favorite for many years now.

3 out of 5 stars Not very creative   July 25, 2009

In my opinon, Boynton's Opposites is a much better book at describing opposites, as well as having engaging images that a parent can animate while reading. This book does do opposites but they aren't as clear to a small baby(maybe when she is older)- a dinosaur being smooth or spiny, or a dinosaur that is painting been good vs those with paint being bad. My daughter totally loses interest in this. When we read Opposites, she is laughing and engaged and I have a fun time reading that one too.
