Great Gift for 5 Year Old May 11, 2010 bop109 (Texas) I bought this as a gift for my 5 year old nephew. He is a very curious kid and loved this Dino Kit! I would recommend it for any kid that loves to discover things!
A great activity for children interested in dinosaurs May 10, 2010 Nicola S. Meyer (Miami, FL) I got this kit for my 3 1/2 year old boy who also worked relentlessly on it for hours! (you can speed up the digging process by wetting the mud, but it takes away from the fun). I (the adult) broke a bone because I got impatient :(
you can glue the skeleton together with superglue, but it is for display only, not to play with.
you can really make this a great "rainy day" activity, take pictures while your child digs and then create an "exposition" with the photos and the glued together dinosaur. We called our "Dylanosaurs" after its "finder", my son Dylan!
Dinosaur archaelogy February 9, 2010 Mary Dressel (Oregon) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this item as a gift. My daughter and her friend spent an hour excavating the dinosaur bones and learning how archaelogists complete their jobs. The girls were ages 6 and 9. Great toy for kids that love hands on experiments!
my 5 year old brother loved it February 9, 2010 Valentina (Florida) This was great for keeping my little brother busy... but beware the digging out of the dinosaur makes a giant dusty mess... but nothing that can't be easily vacumed.
Dinosaur Science kit February 1, 2010 Susan R (Los Altos, CA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This product was a great disappointment. It was impossible for a young child to do. It was even difficult for adults to do. It took much patience and strength. I would not recommend purchasing it for a child unless perhaps a teenager. I have never been so disappointed in a gift for a child and even felt like writing to ask for my money back.
